Christine's Bachelorette Party

Earlier this month my friends and I headed into the city for our friend Christine's Bachelorette Party. It was a rainy rainy rainy day, luckily we missed the sideways pouring as we were walking.

Sarah and Kerri looking lovely in the rain:

We took the train in:

And brought some drinks on the train with us....

Train drinking out of mini bottles is very very classy!

Some group shots- Christine- the bride to be, Sarah, Kerri, Me and Katie:

It was a super fun night!

Happy Bachelorette Party Christine!!!!!!!!!!!

Cookie Failure

I wasn't going to share my lastest failure, but that word is in my title for a reason. Plus I think the outcome is funny!

So I saw on Marthastewart.com finger cookies and without looking at a recipe, I decided to make them, foolishly I had some pretty high hopes.

from: Martha Stewart

I got the pre-made dough to save on time.
I rolled them into fingers:

I added knuckle lines and nail beds:

And this is how they came out of the oven!!! HAHAHA

They spread out like crazy and looked nothing like fingers. Bakers, help me! Would that have happened if I made real dough and didn't cheat? Below are two recipes for these, perhaps next year I will follow them.

Oh well, They still tasted good!

Here is the Martha's recipe: http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/ladies-fingers-are-easy
And here is another person's recipe: http://www.britta.com/HW/HWr.html#fingers

A Halloween Night Out

Halloween Night I had a mini party before we headed to the bars for some fun and World Series watching! : )

Some eyeball wine? Yes Please!

Some eyeball candy? Yes Please!

So not funny!!!!!!!!!!!

As all going out nights this fall, some Yankee's in the background:

I was a Halloween Princess, the costume is really in the skirt which you can't see. It was spider webs! Please note the eyeball in my wine!

Megan and Lindsay

Creative Costumes Guys! Kerri, Russ and Katie as Yankees's Fans!

If the witch wand can drink without hands, So can I!

I love Halloween!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!! AND Happy Birthday Russ!!!!

Creepy Paper Mache Friends

So I forgot to share with you my favorite Halloween Friends...my creepy paper mache friends! I think the pumpkin girl is my most favorite holiday decoration ever. When I take her out of my Halloween Tupperware I whisper to her "I have missed you." I got them at Home Goods a few years ago.

My radiator knick-knacks Halloween Style:

My pretty pretty pumpkin girl:

you know you love her too!

Look at her pretty party shoes:

I have a ghost too!

A Halloween Wonderland House

So I LOVE Halloween and had some regular decorations up all month, but then I added even more for Halloween Night!

I did a little shopping...Skeleton Garland:

Some old school paper streamers-Always a crowd pleaser:

Bag of Rubber Eyeballs- A great way to make some new friends:

Then I took my supplies and went to work!

Then I took out some old friends:

Love my Witch Wand!

Then to add some class to all the skeletons dangling around my house, I added a urn of gourds!

Fall Cards

So earlier this month I made fall cards for everyone since Fall is my favorite.....and I heart making cards.
Planning and getting my supplies ready:

Cut, Glue, Cut, Glue:
Looking good but it needs something else....

GLITTER!

Yep, much better with Glitter.

Craft Central this day....the other craft I can't show you yet. That had glitter too... I did a lot of vacuuming this day too. haha

Lazy Sunday

So I had plans of being productive today and knock a few things off my to do list, but it is gloomy and rainy and due to the amount of eyeball wine I drank last night I think I might spend the day in bed instead.
(yes eyeball wine, last night was Halloween)

Watch some bad movies on my state of the art tv... (embarrassed to admit I am watching Jerry Maguire right now)

You know you are so jealous of this tv and wish your tv had fake wood on the side of it!

And catch up on sharing all my photos from the past few months on my blog/facebook/snapfish...Since i have alot.

Yeah it is catch up on photos and blow everything else off day!
