Hot Date

So last weekend I had a hot date with baby Sean. I headed south to watch my best friend Nora's baby who just turned one. Baby Sean and Auntie Maden had a great time, and Auntie Erin came to play too.



After about 5 minutes of screaming that mom and dad left, we calmed down and then were happy and well behaved all night. We played inside for a while, then headed outside to enjoy the nice weather. We hit the swings, him in my lap in the real swing, Sean couldn't be bothered with any silly baby swing! Then we played wacky stroller and took a nice long walk. Then dinner time, bath time and bed time. It was a wild night.

It was fun baby Sean, I can't wait to see what else you can do and what else you can say next time I come down to play!

Deja Silhouettes

I wanted to get my brother silhouettes of his dog for christmas/house warming (he is closing on a condo next month). I planned on going on Etsy and having someone make them for him, but due to limited funding this time of year I decided to try and make them myself! And they came out great! Hooray! Now I can add making silhouttes to my resume!

I printed out pictures of the dog, then cut them out. Then traced the cut-out picture onto nice black paper. Some of the detailing was lost, but they still came out nicely.

Then I mounted them on nice white paper. I wanted to mount them on mat board, but I did this christmas eve, so I used what was easy to find and cut!

I wasn't sure which ones would look good, so I just made a bunch.

Then I picked 3 to frame, and Kevin can switch them out if he wants.

Then I wrapped them up and put them under the tree!

Christmas Morning

It was another great christmas at my parents house! Look at all those presents! Yay!

Merry Christmas Sooy Family

I went down to visit my bff Nora and her family last weekend. Her son Sean is 7 months now! So big!
I got down late due to traffic but Sean was still awake to ham it up with me! I missed him!

Then we put that cute baby to bed and had a dinner of yummy apps and pizza outside on their new patio around the firepit! How fun!

(We made "sausage stars" and I wanted to put the recipe on the blog, but I forgot to take pictures...so next time kids!)

Then I woke up to this! To see more snow check Nora's blog.

And had to hit the road a lot sooner than planned! So I stayed for some yummy french toast and watched Sean open some presents then drove through the snow home! (which sadly was the reason I think my back is now "out"..being scared and holding the steering wheel so
tight! boo!)

Deja's First Birthday!

So my Brother's Dog had her first birthday this week! I missed the party, but Kevin sent me pictures!

Deja came to visit

A little (I mean HUGE) doggie names Deja came to visit me last weekend! My dad and brother want the dog more well represtented on my blog, so here you go guys!

Fall Festival

This past weekend was the Fall Festival in town. They close off the streets and all the businesses in town set up a booth, it isn't really that exciting, but it was a GORGEOUS day and we go every year so now it is a tradition! Usually the extended fam comes but my little teens were too busy so just my parents, brother and my brother's dog deja came.

Babysitting Nora's Son Sean

So last Thursday Erin and I babysat Sean while Nora and Thom John went to the U2 concert. We had a very busy and exciting night!
