So I decided to get a shoe holder for the back of my closet door. I don't know how come I never thought of this before. My shoes are just in bins and I can never find them and they take up so much room.
I plan on going shopping after work today and I just window shopped online and they have a couple of kinds. I wonder which kind is better. Any suggestions?

These are soft pockets, and what I thought I wanted. And the above one is so pretty!
But I am wondering if one like this might be better. I wonder if I have room for one like this?

i have one with soft pockets. the pockets are mesh, so they breathe easier (in case your shoes are a little stinky) and i can just shake out any dirt, etc. also, you can just throw it in the wash to clean it (take out any plastic backing and the hooks first, obv). the hard plastic ones usually have to be screwed into the door, they're heavy and they can easily scrape against the door and mess it up. i got mine for $5 from home depot and i've had it for at least 4 years.
ReplyDeletethanks eej! that was helpful. i went to target last night and they didn't have the pretty patterned one, so i got the 2nd picture and the 4th picture. the 4th just had over the door hooks, no screws. so i am going to see which i like and return the other!

ReplyDeletei got the bottom picture. you didn't need to screw it into the door, so i figured i would give is a try. it is good for lady shoes, like flats and heals, not good for sneakers or larger shoes. i like it, now there are less shoes in the bin and everything is easier to find. : )
