Food Food and More Food

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am posting about FOOD!  Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a great day with your families!

So I have been watching a decent amount of Food Network in the past few weeks, and it has mostly been Thanksgiving themed episodes and there have been a number of dishes I want to try.  I am not doing any cooking this Thanksgiving, but I wanted to put these all in one place to find them in the future.  So here they are, incase any look good to you!

And last time I did a random post, and posted about that Apple Chicken Sausage Pasta, I went ahead and made it and it was GOOD, make it! Make it!  I didn't take pictures to blog about in, but I will next time we make it.  Colin wasn't feeling it as I was making it, but told me it was really good, and his friend who "wasn't hungry" had two bowls! haha So I would call that a win!

Stuffing - I pretty much like any kind of stuffing, I have been looking forward to stuffing for a few weeks snow.  I only have a few more hours to wait!  These 2 recipes caught my eye.

Here is the video, if you prefer that

But the show I was watching, she added roasted Brussels Sprouts and Butternut Squash to it, for a very veggie stuffing! YUM!  Oh look, Food Network has that version.

And both of these lovely cooking ladies has some yummy looking Cranberry Sauce, that looks way better than what comes out of the can! Ha! Pioneer Woman's version, Ina Garten's version. : )

I also saw the Pioneer Woman make theses little dinner rolls.  I also noticed when she makes her turkey she rubs a rosemary orange zest butter all over it.  Granted butter totally grosses me out, but rosemary and orange - that sounds good.  Perhaps if I ever make a real turkey, I'll need to look up her recipe for that!

This is not a Thanksgiving recipe, but I think Colin would be fond of this
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie I also saw her make recently.

OK back to Thanksgiving food, we both watched Giada make a "Leftover's" Shepherd Pie that looked pretty amazing.  I might need tweak it a bit if I try to make it without leftovers, but either way, I am pretty sure it will make a pretty good dinner!
