Deja came to visit

A little (I mean HUGE) doggie names Deja came to visit me last weekend! My dad and brother want the dog more well represtented on my blog, so here you go guys!

Old Wood Folding Chairs

So I should change my "thirft storing and garage sale-ing" tag to "thrift storing, garage sale-ing and garbage picking".

Last year I took 3 old wood folding chairs out of my neighbors garbage since I liked them and I could also use extra seating at parties, bbq's etc. But as much as I liked them I didn't take very good care of them since they were "trash". I left them outside in the rain after a bbq once and they got wet and the backs got all warped and one actually lost it's back. And I have had them stored in my super gross garage.

So I came across an Etsy email awhile ago selling chairs just like them for $90! yikes! I doubt mine are worth that much, but it made me realize I should take better care of them. I tried to find some for sale still, but none like mine are available right now.

I did find this post on Apartment Therapy where someone got them for $35.

So this weekend I got them out of the garage, evicted the spiders, cleaned them up and stored them in the basement instead. The basement is less gross only in comparison, and easier to grab for parties.

Christine and Jon's Wedding

Two weeks ago my friend Christine got married. It was a great wedding and I was so happy to be there! The reception was at the Liberty House in Jersey City. The place was so nice, and the views even nicer!

Shoe Organizer

So I decided to get a shoe holder for the back of my closet door. I don't know how come I never thought of this before. My shoes are just in bins and I can never find them and they take up so much room.
I plan on going shopping after work today and I just window shopped online and they have a couple of kinds. I wonder which kind is better. Any suggestions?

Rutgers Garden Gnomes

So I guess some people have seen these before, but this was the first time I saw these. I LOVE garden gnomes (yes, I make a living out of designing classy expensive landscapes and I love garden gnomes.) HOW FUN!!!!!
